2019-20 Nursing Update Series - Trauma Nursing: The Role of the Nurse in the Continuum of Care of the Trauma Patient
According to the National Trauma Institute, trauma accounts for 41 million ER visits, 2.3 million hospital admissions, and is the #1 cause of death for Americans between the ages of 1 and 46. When the trauma patient arrives in the ER, their continuum of care begins and may flow through various hospital areas including surgery, ICU, and the floor. A knowledge and understanding of the trauma patient’s coordination of care throughout each hospital area is crucial for the nurse to have in order to develop a “big picture” approach to their provision of care. Please mark your calendars to join us as two national trauma nurse experts and a local trauma nurse coordinator share their extensive knowledge and experience in caring for this complex patient population from arrival in the ER to discharge from the floor. ______________________________________________________________________________ REFUND POLICY: REFUNDS WILL NOT BE ISSUED FOR CANCELLATIONS OR INCORRECT FEE SUBMISSIONS.
